Plan for how to improve some of the technology or cultural limitations

The plan for how to improve some of the technology or cultural limitations: The Plan! There's always a plan. A way made possible for others to follow suit so something continues to work out is my short definition of a plan. Technology has come so far (to say the least) in a super short time and it's difficult to keep up with (if you're trying to keep up with the Jones' or now- the Kardashians lol). I digress . . .. Anyhow, the many changes, as I was saying, is that media companies will have to incorporate new skills (job skills, if you wish) into their game plan. Pretty much every business has to in order to maintain their current market, much less a future market. Without change and a plan to change, at some point- there might not be a business. Sad to think about but true and it's already happening.  For example, Gap Inc. announced its plans to separate into two companies: unnamed company A and Old Navy, which is already a spin-off from several years back. I k...

Next to last blog post . . . Benefits & Limitations of Technological Developments

Benefits & Limitations of  technological developments in mass media and these developments’ impact on culture I want to start out by sharing my discussion post on Twitter's business model and how its benefits and limitations affect the way media companies use news and communication.  According to Das Sourobh, "Twitter business model is similar to the business model of other social networks and requires users to create a profile and then those users can post short status updates or “tweets” under 280 characters" (2019). In addition, "registered users can post tweets, but those who are unregistered can only read them" (Sourobh, 2019). Also, "users can post using the website, app or even SMS. It is also called 'SMS of the Internet'" (Sourobh, 2019). Additionally, "the users can follow other user accounts and then they can view the tweets of the accounts they chose to follow and can share videos, images, and links through their twee...

Blog Post #6: Another post about how technology has changed society's expectations of mass media and culture... Another post about this: I'll do my background in pink this time for your entertainment and mine. In my last post, I talked a lot about expectations. The word expect appeared in italics a couple of times. There's the thing with society: we all expect the media to deliver due to technology. Television and radio may have been the norm back in the day but now- pretty much everyone is on their iPhones or Androids with up the minute news. Apple News, (I'm sure Samsung has something but I'm not into droids...), social media, and even news stations must keep up with what's happening. On top of that, it is expected to be accurate reporting and not 'fake news'.  What's your thoughts on this?  -londonblogger2011

Blog Post #5: This is more analyzination of how technology has changed society's expectations of mass media and culture.  Society's expectations on mass media and culture have become great. For instance, I've been keeping up with ENews all day long with the Grammys. It's live streamed on Facebook and Instagram with up to the minute news about the fashion looks of celebrities like Cardi B, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, and many more. I love this kind of stuff. I'm not the only one that expects it from the media. There's the word expect. Let's put that in pink so we can all see it and understand better that there's the thing with today: technology has changed society's expectations of mass media and culture. It has mine. Look at me waiting on them to do their jobs and if they don't? There will be tons of disappointed folks across the globe who were all waiting in their studio apartments or glitzy mansions or at the bar or around the f...

Blog Post #4: ...analyze three examples of how technology has changed society's expectations of mass media and culture, they said...  Social media, society, celebrity news are all things that I keep up with on a daily basis. Actually: entirely too much! I should work for ENews. Hire me now. I'm going to make the rest of this post in pink because it's 11:22 pm CST and it will awaken your life, which is my desire on earth. (not really but I had you be lieving) Here's my discussion board from class: This week's discussion question is how and why does consumption of music and movies change due to technological advancements? How have these changes affected your own personal consumptions of media? Consider music downloads, pirating movies, iTunes, copyright infringement, and Netflix.  I've grown up with music having older brothers and sisters. Vinyl records: 45s and 78s, cassette tapes, MP3s, CDs for music to VHS and Beta tapes to DVDs. It's been a huge ch...
Blog Post #3:   exciting title, huh? Example 1 of how technology has changed the work of communicators and influenced the training they need:  So many examples. I think I covered them in my last 2 blog posts. Be sure and read that amazing short paper in blog post two. Technology has for sure changed! Social media has evolutionized the industry and brought it live! I can't even think of how things were "back in the day" with no Facebook, Insta, SnapChat, and Twitter. Can you?? It seems like it would be easier now but then again- is it really? I follow lots of things and besides doing their daily work, they're videoing all day long. Literally all day long . . .. It's probably taxing. Feeling pink again here, which is cuter than the black.  If you get bored, follow my other blog: London in the eyes of the beholder. It's very scholarly and not as fun written (sigh). I've evoloved over the years too. Thanks for reading! -londonblogger2011
